Opportunity
:
Based on site at our clients advanced technology, pharmaceutical manufacturing facility based in the South East of Ireland, the CapEx Control Lead will oversee financial governance, planning, and control of capital and operational expenditure across a large project portfolio. This role acts as the strategic partner to the Site CapEx Lead, ensuring robust project controls, compliance, and value realization across a cross-functional team of 20-25 members. This is a key role and will support the clients business investments plans and ensure SOX compliance.
Responsibilities
:
* Primary controls partner to Site CapEx Lead, supporting strategic decision-making and portfolio oversight.
* E2E process all CapEx and OpEx projects ensuring alignment with internal policies and external compliance.
* Monitor / report on CapEx & OpEx project performance, budget tracking, variance analysis, and forecasting.
* Set up all necessary Master data, WBS, DCF forms
* Prepare capitalization forms, ensure PIP project approvals and capitalization
* Impairment / Write off regular reviews
* Yearly assets count verification + Regular asset tags for new assets
* Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for the Finance Director and senior stakeholders, highlighting risks, opportunities, projects status and asset management.
* Prepare estimate of CapEx budget spend on monthly basis based on information from relevant stakeholders
* Data maintenance and reporting of CapEx budget (maintaining data necessary for uploading to management reporting systems)
* Review purchase orders to ensure correct project WBS was selected
* In cooperation with Engineering lead prepare the estimated capitalization start dates for asset accountant
* Support stakeholders in ROI calculations, ensuring calculated benefits are reliable and measurable
* Monthly tracking of benefits realization related to investment projects (based on the estimation from ROI) in cooperation with related stakeholders
* Support month-end close, planning cycles, and audits in collaboration with Controlling and Finance teams.
* Perform additional tasks according to the instructions of the Site CapEx Lead within the agreed type of work;
Requirements
:
* Degree and/or internally recognised accounting or professional finance designation.
* Experience in CapEx management
* Strong technical knowledge, financial accounting & compliance, Business acumen
* University degree in business/finance/engineering
* Finance or Business or Engineering High level of information and data to deal with, solid understanding of accounting and compliance standards and regulations
* Experience in accounting & compliance
* CapEx management/controls knowledge
* Candidates should have at least five years' experience in a similar role, or working within a CapEx team environment
* Curious, proactive and dynamic, with leadership capabilities
* Strong Communications and Interpersonal skills
* High Level proficiency in use of Excel
* Fluent English
* Rigorous approach to work
* Autonomous/ Self Directed
