Their diverse portfolio showcases their ability to handle complex and large-scale projects, making them a leader in the industry.Your new roleThe successful candidate will lead the design and delivery of electrical systems on major Design & Build projects delivering technically excellent, compliant, cost-effective, and sustainable electrical designs.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the electrical elements of MEP design, working closely with mechanical, BIM, and CDP teams. Oversee and manage project delivery from early-stage concepts through to detailed technical design reports. Produce and review calculations, schematics, specifications, and schedules. Ensure all designs meet client expectations and comply with British Standards, Building Regulations, and environmental frameworks such as Part L, BREEAM, and LEED. Participate in and where required, lead design team meetings, technical workshops, and the development of project documentation (e.g., Engineering Reports, Basis of Design). Provide support during estimating, tendering, and value engineering phases. Manage project timelines, budgets, risk assessments, and client communication. Mentor junior engineers and provide support to construction teams during installation and commissioning.What you'll need to succeed Degree in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering. A minimum of 3+ years' experience working as an Electrical Design Engineer within the building services industry. Strong working knowledge of UK Building Regulations, BS EN Standards, and CIBSE guidance. Experience producing calculations, technical reports, schematics, and specifications for building services projects. Desirable:Chartered or working toward chartership with a relevant professional body (IET, CIBSE, EI, SLL). Understanding of sustainability frameworks such as BREEAM, LEED, or WELL.
