Our Kilkenny-based client is searching for a dedicated Sustainability Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving eco-friendly and sustainable practices in their projects. Your expertise in LEED assessments and sustainable design principles will ensure that buildings not only meet but exceed environmental standards, contributing to a more sustainable future.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct LEED assessments and manage certification processes to ensure projects achieve desired sustainability ratings
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project teams to integrate sustainable design solutions from concept through to construction
Develop and evaluate sustainable design strategies, including energy efficiency, water conservation, and materials selection
Perform environmental and energy modeling, providing insights on the most impactful sustainability measures
Monitor industry trends, staying up-to-date with advances in sustainable practices and regulatory requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a sustainability engineering role, ideally within a consultancy setting
LEED accreditation is highly desirable. Strong understanding of sustainable building certifications and regulatory frameworks.
Proficiency in energy modeling software (e.g., IES, EnergyPlus) and sustainable analysis tools. Excellent communication and project management skills, with a collaborative approach to multidisciplinary teamwork
Experience within a consultancy environment is highly advantageous
