Key Responsibilities Deliver full-stack solutions acrossfrontend and backend systems, supporting the modernization of legacy platforms Develop responsive, user-friendly frontend applications usingAngular and TypeScript Design and build robustRESTful APIs and backend servicesusingNode.js and TypeScript Develop and operateserverless microservicesusing AWS services including: Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB Aurora PostgreSQL, SQS, EventBridge Step Functions and S3 Apply provenAWS Lambda architecture patternsto build scalable and efficient serverless systems Implementevent-driven architectures, asynchronous processing, and messaging-based workflows Ensure solutions meet best practices forscalability, resilience, observability, and cost optimisation Integrate systems with enterprise platforms across insurance and data ecosystems Contribute toCI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and engineering standards Support themodernisation of legacy applicationswith minimal disruption to end users Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless digital experiences Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering Strong proficiency inTypeScript and JavaScriptacross both frontend and backend development Proven experience building production-grade services usingNode.js Hands-on experience developingAngular applicationsin enterprise environments Experience withAI-assisted development tools(e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar) to enhance engineering efficiency and quality Strong experience withAWS serverless architecture and microservices, including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and messaging services such as SQS Solid understanding ofevent-driven systems, distributed transactions, and cloud-native design patterns Experience working withinfinancial services or insurance environmentsis highly desirable Nice to Have Experience withlegacy system modernisation or migration programmes Familiarity withobservability tools, monitoring, and logging frameworks Exposure toinfrastructure as codeand DevOps practices
