Job Title: RGN (Registered General Nurse)
RGNs are required for our Perioperative Surgical Wards and Emergency Department at HSE Hospital Limerick.
About the Role
We have two exciting opportunities for experienced RGNs to join our team in a challenging yet rewarding role. The positions will be based in our Perioperative Surgical Wards and Emergency Department, where you will be working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
As an RGN on our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, managing a variety of patients' needs, from routine surgeries to emergency cases. Your expertise and experience will be invaluable in ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality patient care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
* Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
* Conduct thorough assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient progress.
* Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information, including medical histories and treatment plans.
* Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and new developments in nursing care.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
* A strong educational background in nursing, with a focus on general practice.
* Proven experience working in a hospital setting, preferably in a perioperative surgical ward or emergency department.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
* A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

Shift Details:
* Perioperative Surgical Wards: 10 weeks, potentially longer; Monday – Sunday (2/3 shifts per week requirement, flexible for which days); Day/Night Duty (flexible).
* Emergency Department: Minimum of 6 months; Monday - Sunday (3 shifts per week); Requirements: ED experience/Paediatric ED experience.
