My client pride themselves with a broad range of projects in civil, structural, transportation, mechanical and electrical engineering. They work with a large number of government agencies, local authorities, private sector and blue chip clients.AsResident Engineer / Building Inspectoryou will work collaboratively with the team to oversee quality assurance, quality control and site inspection activities across large-scale residential, commercial and infrastructure projects. This role requires hands-on experience with civil works, structural inspections, materials testing and site management, ensuring compliance with local regulations and project specifications.Sample Projects:Modern high rise office buildings – Over 8 floors in DublinResidential developments – Various 2, 3 & 4 storey units and high rise apartment blocksEducation – Multiple schools around the Leinster areaGovernment and Public buildingsHotels – Various hotel developments in DublinRetail – Various retail developments around IrelandRequirements:Minimum Level 8 degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.Resident Engineer / Building Inspector with a minimum of 7 years post graduate experience, working with a consultancy working as a Resident Engineer / Building Inspector on projects in Ireland or the UK.Be a chartered Engineer or close to obtaining chartership.Must have excellent communications skills both verbal and writtenEagerness to learn and progressThe role:Conduct site inspections for civil works including roads, drainage, water mains, subbase, geotextiles, and asphalt works.Inspect structural concrete and steel works, timber frame construction, floor build-ups, roofing, and fire-stopping measures.Perform dilapidation surveys, pre-board inspections, and practical completion inspections in accordance with Building Regulations / TGDs .Monitor construction quality to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and QA/QC plans.Review Materials, Method Statements, Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), Project Quality Plans (PQPs) and shop drawings for compliance with design and regulatory requirements.Salary:Excellent Salary (circa €70k – €80k+) doeExcellent benefits package – full details available on application.Paid membership fees to two professional institutesLife Assurance & Permanent Health InsurancePaid Health InsurancePensionAnnual BonusProfit Share24 days leave that increases with loyaltyGreat location with access to sports courtsExcellent CPDIf you are a Resident Engineer / Building Inspector considering a career move, please feel to send your CV or contact Alice Condon for a confidential discussion.
