Customer Service Supervisor Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Customer Service Supervisor. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring an excellent customer experience while overseeing the yard staff and contributing to the overall success of the business.
This is a key position working alongside the Branch Manager to deliver exceptional customer service to all customers who enter our yard. You will ensure that your team adheres to best practice Health and Safety processes, operating safely and efficiently while working towards branch sales and profit targets.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain high standards of Health & Safety throughout the yard, completing daily, weekly, monthly checks.
* Provide supervision and support to a dedicated team of yard staff, enabling them to deliver on our commitment of providing an excellent customer service experience.
* Collaborate with the rest of the branch team to ensure efficient and effective branch operations.
* Deal with customers on a day-to-day basis in the yard, establishing long-term relationships and ensuring customers can access our full range of products.
* Proactively increase sales and margin for the branch through great customer service, championing basic yard standards, and ensuring stock availability.
* Prepare orders for collection & delivery, complete sales documentation, and regulate stock levels.
* Plan lorry loads, load and unload vehicles manually or with a forklift truck, and other duties as necessary.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in people management/supervisory skills.
* Good understanding of the customer service experience and what great service looks, sounds, and feels like.
* Excellent communication skills.
* A proactive and methodical approach with the ability to prioritise workload.
* Working knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
* Extensive experience utilising a Forklift Truck.
