Advanced Researcher Position
The Advanced Researcher will be responsible for leading the development of complex cardiovascular models, including in-silico and in-vitro experiments. The goal is to create innovative designs for pediatric heart failure treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop sophisticated in-silico models to simulate blood flow, pressures, and volumes in failing Fontan circulation and pediatric heart failure.
* Collaborate with the medical team to refine model parameters and boundary conditions using patient-specific data.
* Implement and test mechanical circulatory support device parameters in the in-silico models to assess their impact on hemodynamics.
* Design and develop soft silicone cardiac chamber phantoms and elastic vascular models for in-vitro experiments.
* Analyze simulation and experimental data to generate quantitative metrics for concept-level design optimization.
Required Qualifications:
* PhD in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.
* Experience in cardiovascular modeling and mock circulatory loop development.
