Contract: 12 Months (with a high probability of extension)
We are seeking a seasoned Solution Architect (10+ years' experience) to join a high-performing innovation engine based in Dublin. This role isn't about maintaining the status quo; it's about acting as the technical visionary for a massive digital ecosystem spanning multiple business units.
Reporting directly to the Lead Architect, you will be the "bridge" between complex business needs and technical execution. You will design scalable, resilient architectures that link our on-premises data centres with a modern Azure PaaS environment.
Responsibilities
The "Bridge" Role: Translate business requirements from four distinct business units into robust technical blueprints.
Architectural Design: Focus heavily on the Application Space and Integration Layer-designing how systems communicate, not just where they sit.
Hybrid Modernization: Lead the design of migration paths from legacy on-prem systems to Azure-native services (Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus).
Cross-Team Collaboration: Work alongside Infrastructure/Network teams and Development squads to ensure your designs are fit-for-purpose and secure.
Consultative Approach: Rapidly "pick up" new business domains (from retail to logistics) and provide strategic "big picture" guidance.
Experience
10+ Years in Architecture: Ideally with a strong background in Consultancy, where you've had to navigate diverse and complex technical landscapes.
Application Specialist: You are a designer, not a coder. You understand software logic, data flows, and APIs inside out, but you aren't looking to be hands-on with the code.
Hybrid Fluency: You respect the reality of on-prem data centers and know how to integrate them seamlessly with the cloud.
Analytical Mindset: Someone who can evaluate emerging tech and make quick, commercially sound decisions.
