12 month contract.
Acute Medicine Registrars will have the opportunity to work on the acute medical assessment unit (AMAU) as well as the short stay unit (AMSSU) and across the acute floor in the Mater Hospital, a Level 4 busy teaching hospital.
They will be part of a team that includes 6 consultants (Special Interests: Respiratory Medicine, Medicine for the Elderly, Endocrinology, Infectious Diseases, Gastrointestinal and Cardiology), with 4 Registrars, 6 ANPs and 5 SHOs and will participate in the medical on call roster.
Registrars are an integral part of the acute team with opportunities to develop interests in research and audit, sub specialty medicine and POCUS; and attend weekly teaching sessions, specialty courses and clinics.
This post will enable the post holder to gain experience and training in acute and general medicine in a supportive and educationally-focused environment
