MES Design Engineer **** SimoTech has a new opportunity for an MES Design Engineer to join our team, supporting a leading pharmaceutical client in Dublin.
This position offers hybrid or remote working options.
This role is focused on the design and configuration of Korber (Werum) PAS-X MBRs primarily within the Form/Fill and Packaging areas.
The successful candidate will support both commercial manufacturing and new product introductions, working across the full MBR lifecycle from requirements gathering to testing and deployment.
Key Responsibilities Design, configure, and test Korber (Werum) PAS-X MBRs from initial concept through to final approval.
Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, automation, and IT teams to gather and analyse user requirements.
Manage the full MBR development lifecycle, including design, configuration, testing, deployment, and documentation using HP Application Lifecycle Management.
Provide support and technical expertise for the ongoing development of the site MES system, development of MBRs, and towards improving MES business processes.
Take part in the training of EBR end-users and the ongoing development, review, and updating of all relevant SOPs.
Provide technical expertise for equipment integration design, configuration, and testing to allow MBR interaction with shop floor equipment.
Carry out troubleshooting and fault-finding for MES and all relevant interfaces as required.
Requirements Key Requirements Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or related field.
3+ years' MES design experience in a pharmaceutical environment.
Hands-on experience with Koerber (Werum) PAS-X, with strong proficiency in MBR design.
Working knowledge of MES integration with Level 2 automation systems such as SCADA, DeltaV, and PI.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with experience working closely with end users and key business stakeholders.
Experience working in syringe/vial manufacturing operations is preferred.
