Job Title: Senior Operations Director
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our internal teams and driving operational excellence across the business. Located at our headquarters in Banbridge, this role offers a unique opportunity to oversee multiple departments, including Sales, Surveying, Estimating, Production Planning, and Administration.
Main Responsibilities:
• Lead and coordinate a cross-functional team of sales, surveyors, estimators, production planners, and administrators to achieve business objectives.
• Manage and support the Production Manager, overseeing day-to-day production operations, ensuring schedules are met, and maintaining consistent output quality.
• Oversee end-to-end project operations, from client onboarding through to final delivery, managing the supply chain to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials without compromising quality.
• Negotiate with suppliers and maintain strong working relationships to drive value for the business.
• Oversee quality control across projects to ensure consistency and compliance, complete and manage technical submittals for each project, and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Collaborate closely with the production planner to meet project deadlines and client expectations, driving process improvements and efficiencies across all operational functions.
• Support business development by identifying new opportunities and nurturing existing client relationships, participating in final negotiations with clients and supporting contract closures.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in an operations management role, ideally within the joinery or manufacturing sector, demonstrating strong leadership capabilities and experience in managing cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated experience in production oversight and working with or managing production managers, solid understanding of production planning, supply chain logistics, and quality assurance processes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure, high attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with operational tools such as ERP/CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
