Job Summary
The Activity Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering a wide range of engaging and meaningful activities for residents in the nursing home. The role supports residents' physical, emotional, and social well‑being, promoting a positive and stimulating environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a weekly/monthly activity schedule tailored to residents' interests and abilities.
Organize group and one-to-one activities including arts and crafts, music, games, reminiscence sessions, exercise, and outings.
Encourage resident participation and adapt activities to meet individual needs.
Collaborate with nursing and care staff to ensure activities align with residents' care plans.
Maintain accurate records of resident participation and feedback.
Liaise with families, volunteers, and community groups to enhance the activity program.
Requirements
Experience working with older adults or in a care setting preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Creative, enthusiastic, and compassionate approach.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
