My client, a well-established organisation in the hospitality sector, is seeking a Senior Accounts Assistant to join their team onsite in Tullamore. Key Responsibilities
* Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger.
* Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
* Monitor cash flow and prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
* Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements, and intercompany balances.
* Assist with monthly accounts preparation.
* Ensure timely invoicing and manage payment follow-ups.
* Support the audit process and liaise with external auditors.
* Track and review business expenses and support internal reporting.
* Ensure adherence to tax regulations, statutory requirements, and internal financial policies.
* Work closely with the General Manager, department leads, and directors.
* Process payroll, deductions, and statutory contributions.
* Maintain accurate employee financial records and collaborate with HR on compensation matters.
* Review supplier invoices and contracts for accuracy and value.
* Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, auditors, and banking partners.
Skills & Experience
* Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
* 2–3 years' experience in a similar role; hospitality experience is an advantage.
* Strong knowledge of hotel accounting systems (Hotsoft, Volante, Sage or similar).
* Excellent MS Excel and accounting software skills.
* Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
* High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
* Confident communicator with strong teamwork skills.
