Responsibilities
1. Act as a commissioning agent for Mechanical systems, including cooling/heating, plumbing, fire, fuel oil, and BMS systems across various environments.
2. Manage projects, develop plans, review specifications, drawings, and equipment submittals, and execute assignments in a multidisciplinary engineering commissioning role for large facility projects.
3. Review design criteria, specifications, drawings, and documentation relevant to commissioning.
4. Follow quality management and QC procedures to validate and document client systems.
5. Gather and organize documentation, drawings, and data from clients, vendors, and contractors.
6. Develop site-specific commissioning plans.
7. Create and review factory witness test procedures for major equipment.
8. Attend factory tests and report deficiencies in detail.
9. Lead commissioning meetings, ensuring proper documentation.
10. Develop and perform functional tests for various building mechanical systems.
11. Maintain commissioning logs, checklists, and other tracking tools; prepare comprehensive final reports.
12. Manage external resources, schedule meetings, and participate in construction and coordination meetings as needed.
13. Interface with clients, contractors, vendors, and project teams; execute assignments efficiently.
14. Provide progress reports and meeting notes to project and facility managers.
15. Respond to customer inquiries professionally, exceeding expectations.
Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent military/industrial training with 3+ years of experience in mechanical/controls engineering, energy services, plant operations, or related fields, or Construction Management.
* Previous experience in Data Centers or mission-critical environments.
* Experience in commissioning or maintaining electrical and mechanical systems.
* Strong communication skills, especially with general contractors.
* Knowledge of major regulations, industry codes, standards, and construction materials and methods.
