Pat the Baker has been an Irish household brand since 1953 and Irish Pride being the 6th largest Irish manufactured grocery brand in the retail market in Ireland. Pat the Baker/ Irish Pride are now looking to recruit an Area Sales Manager.
The primary focus of the Area Sales Manager (ASM) is to manage and increase the sales of the company in their respective area of Cork.
This role will have full responsibility for management and development of the Van Sales and Authorized Distributers and associated depots for the area to ensure consistent delivery and execution of best-in-class customer experience
Suitable candidates will have a strong track record and proven ability to grow and maintain strong sales in their current area of responsibility.
The successful candidate will be charged with the responsibility for :
· Sales – To achieve agreed yearly & quarterly targets by managing existing business, generating new business and providing effective after sales service.
· Returns – Manage the depots returns & to keep them within agreed % targets, as specified by the Regional Sales Manager.
· Reconciliations – to ensure all stock from delivery to sales are reconciled and are properly accounted for at all times.
· Rota's – Manage the Rota for the team to cover, holidays, absenteeism etc
· Staffing - facilitate the timely selection, recruitment & training of staff as per operational requirements. To ensure that adequate staffing cover is provided for all aspects of the operation at all times.
· Transport – ensuring the management & maintenance of all company fleet vehicles. To ensure the company accident report procedure is adhered to at all times by the ASM and the driver involved.
· Reporting – Accurate reporting of operational matters as required by regional manager and Company Management so as to ensure that accurate information is available to the company at all times. It is a requirement that the job holder keeps management informed at all times of all matters that affect the interests of the company.
Skills and Competencies -
The successful candidate will clearly demonstrate:
* Minimum 3 years successful track record in similar sales-based role.
* Excellent communication & Strong commercial awareness.
* Excellent planning and organizing skills.
* Full clean Irish/European driving license
* Ownership of responsibilities and issues
Ability to participate and contribute to sales strategy discussions and be a team player.
