Based in or around Munster, you’ll support customers through installation, training, servicing, and repair of high‑end printing and finishing systems.This is a field‑based role requiring strong technical capability, excellent customer communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.RoleDiagnose, troubleshoot and resolve all equipment failures on customer sites within expected timeframesTrain key equipment operators how to test, tune, adjust and operate equipment to obtain optimum operating performanceSolve technical problems related to equipment breakdown/reliability using right first time (RFT) techniques to eliminate repeat failuresAdvise Service Management regarding customer satisfaction/​dis‑satisfaction of product performance and service response with suggestions for viable & deliverable improvementsDevelop our service business through the delivery of high service standards, customer satisfaction and actively seek opportunities to provide additional services and productsProvide remote advice on the use and care of equipment/software systems to customersEffectively plan your own daily route/call plan to ensure productive use of time, customer communication and deliver top level customer service to meet customer SLA’s, including planned preventative maintenance callsPromptly complete and return relevant service paperwork/electronic files associated with service visits and equipment installationsAttend and understand the engineer training provided by the Company and achieve the required manufacturer technical certificationInterface with internal and external customers, salespeople and other service team members on a technical levelManage and update spare part car stock used in your daily routineComply with any departmental changes which have been implemented to aid the successful running of the Service Dept.Provide a high level of technical service and represent the interests of Quadient Ireland in developing customer relationships to assure long‑term customer satisfactionQualificationsAbout YouExperience of working on either Electro‑Mechanical Paper Handling equipment, Large Production Print or Print Finishing EquipmentDiploma/Certification in Electrical, Mechanical or Electronic engineeringAbility to work under pressure to tight schedules on customer sitesExcellent communication skills, including verbal and written plus the ability to speak effectively with customers and colleaguesHave the skills to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve critical equipment failuresWillingness to pay attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures and adhere to Company policiesDemonstrate initiative and work alone with little supervisionStrong organisational, planning and scheduling skillsExperience in graphics, wide‑format printing, or high‑end document systemsAdditional InformationFlexible Work: Embrace a hybrid work model blending office and remote setup for a balanced lifestyle.Endless Learning: Access global opportunities for growth through our 24/7 online learning platform.Inclusive Community: Join our Empowered Communities and engage in our Philanthropy program.Comprehensive Rewards: Enjoy competitive Total Rewards covering wellness, work/life balance, and more, including a generous referral scheme.Caring for Wellbeing: Access our complimentary employee assistance program for mental health support.Quadient is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer. *: We firmly believe in zero discrimination in employment on any basis, including race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran or military status, genetic information, citizenship status, and any other characteristics protected by local, state, or federal law.
