Connemara Coast is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join the team at The Connemara Coast Hotel

Responsibilities
* Ensure that maintenance and repair work on the property is carried out as required
* Ensure that all areas are left in a neat, clean and safe condition after maintenance work has been carried out
* Observe all safety procedures and rules in order to prevent accidents resulting from any maintenance activity
* Communicate with your Manager on all serious maintenance issues and report on the progress of maintenance on the property
* Ensure that OH&S and HACCP standards are maintained and adhered to
* Ensure all work is carried out to the highest professional and Safety standards possible
* Assist as part of the team responsible for the routine maintenance and upkeep of the hotel facilities, and refurbishment of hotel facilities and services
About The Role
Requirements
* Proven experience in a similar role
* Experience in electrical, carpentry or plumbing repairs
* Self-motivation and the ability to work in a fast paced environment
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to recommend and implement improvements in their department or the hotel in general
* Health & Safety knowledge and awareness
* Painting and decorating experience would be essential
