* Preparing production cost estimates for optional technical features offered by sales as options in any tender offer;
* New crane contract project pre-cost calculations (budgets);
* Financial reviews of crane contracts, identifying possible root causes of cost overruns by comparing calculation costs to pre-cost calculations;
* Assisting Sales with general costing queries;
* Cost calculations for potential new crane technologies being developed by sales/product management/design; and
* Contributing to the continuous development of the department and all costing processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you should possess:

* A Diploma or Degree in an Engineering discipline, with experience in cost calculation/budget processes related to the supply of capex electromechanical engineering products;
* Demonstrated ability and willingness to adapt to and learn about container crane design where applicable and the current costing processes;
* An aptitude for the relationship between engineering design and production costs of the engineering product, with experience from crane manufacturing or similar fields;
* The ability to read technical specifications (structural/electromechanical/automation) and interpret costing requirements;
* Strong aptitude, ability, and willingness to learn, particularly in using IT tools (e.g., ERP systems and databases) to assist with cost calculations;
* PC literacy and competence with MS Office products;
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
