Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and safety-conscious Electrical Shift Technician to join our team at Veolia in Blanchardstown. The successful candidate will have a mechanical or electrical background and experience working in industrial utilities, preferably in pharmaceuticals.
The Utilities Shift Technician is responsible for ensuring all utilities equipment is available at all times, responding to alarms and deviations, and resolving issues efficiently. Key duties include:
* Operating and monitoring critical utilities systems
* Performing first-line and scheduled maintenance on utilities equipment
* Liaising with subcontractors during planned service maintenance
* Completing work permits and related documentation
The ideal candidate will possess senior trades qualifications, City & Guilds or equivalent in electrical engineering, and a minimum of 2 years' experience post-qualification in industrial utilities. They must be able to organize and prioritize tasks, be detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
Required skills include:
* Maintenance and operational experience of pumps, HVAC Systems, Compressors, Boilers, steam systems, and ancillary services
* Understanding of Preventive Maintenance Systems and PLC/SCADA control systems
* Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Work Order systems and documented Permit to Work Systems
The successful candidate will be a team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to accurately document work performed and demonstrate hands-on experience with detailed knowledge/skill in the following areas:
* Methodical and analytical approach to work
* Good problem-solving and trouble-shooting ability
* Experience of working on a 24/7 production site
