The Role
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to manage projects from initial enquiry through to completion. The role combines site management, technical delivery, and client liaison.
You will manage multiple live projects and site crews, including direct labour and subcontract teams as required, while meeting builders and new clients to assess works, carry out site measurements, and ensure projects are correctly set up before commencement.
This is a hands-on, construction-led role, suited to someone with strong roofing knowledge and solid site experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Meet builders and new clients to assess potential works and carry out site measurements
* Manage projects from agreed scope through to completion
* Plan and organise daily and weekly work across multiple sites
* Lead, coordinate, and supervise site crews and subcontractors
* Measure works and accurately quantify and order materials
* Attend and lead site meetings with engineers, architects, and designers
* Ensure installations comply with drawings, specs, manufacturers' requirements, and warranties
* Monitor programme, quality, and costs
* Identify variations and site issues early and manage them appropriately
* Maintain high standards of health & safety and site organisation
Required Experience & Knowledge
* Proven experience as a Contracts Manager / Site Manager / Senior Foreman in construction
* Strong background in roofing, particularly:
* Metal roofing systems (zinc, aluminium, copper)
* Roofing details, junctions, specs, and warranty requirements
* Flat roofing experience (advantageous)
* Strong ability to read and interpret drawings and technical details
* Confident dealing with builders and clients on site
* Experience managing multiple crews and live projects
