We are looking for a Transport Operations Manager to join our team. As part of this role, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the day-to-day activities of our transport operations.
Key Responsibilities include:
* To assist in the management of the transport operation, to maintain the required service levels to our retailers and customers.
* Manage and conduct work activities in such a way as to promote, proactively engage and ensure the safety, health, and welfare at work of all employees.
* Manage, motivate, and engage the transport team to deliver a best-in-class service to our customers.
* Deal with drivers, suppliers and stores on delivery and collection queries.
* Implement and operate transport software system to create high performing teams, continuous improvement and a high performing culture.
* Monitor and assess KPIs and where appropriate implement timely corrective action.
Requirements:
Excellent communication, people management and customer service skills are essential for this role. Additionally, experience in logistics and transportation is required.
* Excellent organizational and administration skills with the ability to solve problems in a fast-moving environment.
* High level of computer literacy and ability to interpret and analyse data.
* Thorough knowledge of distribution operations including specific processes such as H&S and HACCP etc.
* Customer focused and driven.
* Able to work on your own initiative, be self-motivated and have a consistent work methodology.
