Director of Sales and Business Development
A key position in our team, the Director of Sales and Business Development will drive customer acquisition and relationship development.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the market, customer demand, and industry intelligence. They will share their knowledge with the commercial team and be willing to travel for customer visits, vendor meetings, and industry conferences.
This role requires a self-starter who can work as part of a team, assist with daily operations, and maintain a positive attitude.
Main Responsibilities:
* Establish company as an approved supplier for selected accounts
* Provide guidance and mentorship to Sales team
* Generate new opportunities for the purchase of assets, driving the process of modelling & bidding
* Ensure inventory sales are aligned with market value
* Maintain high energy, positive attitude, and great sense of humor
* Attend industry conferences and networking events
Required Experience:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree
* 5+ years experience in commercial aviation focused on purchasing heavy (wide and/or narrow body commercial) aircraft and managing the tear-down of the aircraft and the sale of the aircraft's parts
* Strong communication, consultation, and relationship management skills
* Detail orientation with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
* Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
