Job Profile
We are seeking an experienced Business Manager to join our team, reporting to the Area Manager.
* Maintain and develop key customer relationships.
* Act as the primary link between Tirlan and farmers, responsible for day-to-day interactions.
The successful candidate will provide solutions to meet farmer needs, including direct sales, referrals to retail or e-commerce channels, technical support, and communicating new initiatives.
They will be responsible for managing account activities for each farmer in their portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Engage with a portfolio of farmers to understand their feed, fertiliser, veterinary, dairy hygiene, or other farm input requirements.
2. Respond to requests for technical advice and seek specialist input from our Technical Development team as required.
3. Identify opportunities to improve farm profitability, sustainability, or milk quality.
4. Communicate results of forage and soil analysis (including nutrient management plans) to farmers.
5. Maintain accurate farm data on CRM, including milk supply ambitions, sales, opportunities, complaints, etc.
6. Process orders for feed, fertiliser, veterinary/other products, ensuring timely delivery to farmers.
7. Contribute to product/service portfolio development with our Technical Development and Marketing teams.
8. Implement field marketing/promotional campaigns by communicating new offers, directed by our Marketing team.
9. Manage monthly cash collection process.
10. Drive farmer adoption of Tirlan schemes by communicating scheme details and resolving queries.
11. Participate in area & regional representative structures.
12. Collaborate with local Branch Managers to provide farmers with optimum services across channels.
