Job Title: Field Service Engineer
As a Field Service Engineer, you will serve as the direct liaison with our customers to quickly solve high-value problems on their behalf. Collaborating closely with our internal teams and customers onsite, you will make a significant impact on ensuring peak performance and deliver exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with senior field service engineers in installing, maintaining, and upgrading customer equipment.
* Use digital analytics for troubleshooting and apply basic diagnostic techniques to assess equipment and address technical issues.
* Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
* Coordinate and communicate directly with customers and fulfill additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Completion of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
* Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
* Experience diagnosing and resolving basic technical challenges and effective written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* 1-2 years of work experience in customer/field service support or a related technical field.
* Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, or thermodynamics and familiarity with hand tools and their appropriate usage.
Physical Requirements:
* The ability to walk extensively, stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, bend, squat, twist, kneel, reach, climb stairs and ladders, and lift up to 35 lbs.
* Working with electricity and color distinction, working in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise.
Education and Skills:
* Associate's Degree (Required), Bachelor's Degree (Required).
* Certifications: Various industry certifications are required.
