About The Role
* Lead the proactive development of integrated solutions that drive sustainable growth and profitability for Kerry's bakery business in Europe.
* Manage technical development activities related to key Bakery accounts, ensuring product appropriateness for specific applications.
* Develop proactive NPD presentations, prototypes, and supporting documents.
* Support team members in daily activities and foster internal collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
* Product Development:
o Apply Kerry technologies such as inclusions, enzymes, emulsifiers, flavors, and other ingredients in baked goods.
o Utilize bakery processing machinery like mixers and ovens.
o Upscale laboratory experiments for industrial production in customer premises.
* Collaboration:
o Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders for smooth project management.
* Documentation:
o Develop and maintain product specifications, standards, project timelines, competitive analyses, and shelf life studies. Record and file results for future reference.
* Customer Engagement:
o Establish relationships with bakery customers, understand marketplace dynamics, and provide technical support.
Qualifications And Skills
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Baking Science & Technology, Bakery & Patisserie Technology, Food Science, or related field.
* Experience: 3-5 years in food product development, preferably in bakery; familiarity with food safety and quality assurance.
* Technical Skills: Knowledge of bakery products, ingredients, and applications; understanding of product development and scale-up; effective communication and teamwork; proactive and self-motivated; good presentation and project management skills; ability to work under pressure and troubleshoot.
* Work Environment: Laboratory and production settings; occasional travel to facilities, customers, and industry events.
