Job Title: Forestry Operative
The role involves working across multiple forestry sites, supporting day-to-day operations such as planting, maintenance and groundwork. This is an outdoor role on rural and elevated sites, often involving clear-felled areas with lines of stumps and brash.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manually plant trees using a planting spade
* Carry out spraying with knapsack and fertilizing as required
* Perform general maintenance of existing plantations, including grass clearing and filling in gaps
* Follow all health & safety procedures and site-specific guidelines
* Undertake manual handling tasks and outdoor physical work in all weather conditions
* Travel daily to various sites across the west and north west
* Work as part of a small, professional team delivering high-quality results
* Report any site issues, hazards or equipment needs to the supervisor
