Production Manager
As Production Manager, you will take the lead in overseeing daily manufacturing operations at the Shannon site, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production. Reporting directly to the Operations Director, this role offers a unique opportunity to influence operations, streamline workflows, and drive a culture of continuous improvement across a highly collaborative and international team.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
* Manage and adapt production schedules to meet customer orders and inventory targets.
* Balance capacity, demand, and resources for optimal output and delivery performance.
* Coordinate closely with planning, procurement, and logistics to ensure material readiness.
* Lead multiple manufacturing teams, including Team Leaders and Cell Coordinators.
* Monitor floor activity, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure adherence to production plans.
People & Performance Management
* Coach and guide production teams to meet performance goals.
* Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and development.
* Conduct team briefings and maintain an active presence on the production floor.
* Develop cross-training programs to boost flexibility and responsiveness.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
* Champion a quality-first approach across all manufacturing activities.
* Ensure compliance with GMP, QMS, and customer specifications.
* Lead investigations (e.g., root cause, CAPA) and support system improvements.
* Implement Lean initiatives to reduce waste and boost efficiency.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Facilities, and Procurement teams.
Safety & Compliance
* Uphold compliance with Health & Safety and environmental standards.
* Conduct safety audits, training sessions, and incident investigations.
* Promote and maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.
Cost & KPI Management
* Manage labor and material costs within budget.
* Track key metrics including productivity, downtime, and quality.
* Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while upholding quality and safety.
* Oversee time and attendance, holiday planning, and production KPIs.
Education & Technical Skills
* Degree (Level 7 or higher) in Production Management, Engineering, or similar.
* Strong command of ERP/MES systems and production planning tools.
* Solid understanding of GMP, QMS, Lean principles, and modern manufacturing practices.
* Familiarity with digital tools such as real-time tracking and automation systems is a plus.
Experience
* 3–4 years in a manufacturing supervisory or management role.
* Demonstrated ability to lead teams, enhance performance, and develop talent.
* Proven success in process improvement, capacity planning, and cost control.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Experience working with international stakeholders is a strong advantage.
