Job Title: Finance Officer Location: Ballycastle Contract: Full-time, Permanent (37.5 hours per week) Salary: £33,403 About the Role: We are seeking a Finance Officer to support the delivery of effective financial and business operations within our organisation.
This role includes managing day-to-day financial records, producing monthly management accounts, assisting with budgets, payroll processing, grant and fund management, and supporting audits.
The successful candidate will also provide guidance to accounts staff and deputise for the Head of Finance when required.
Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with policies.
Prepare month-end accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and management reports.
Process payroll, including statutory submissions to HMRC and pension contributions.
Support budget preparation and financial reporting for funding applications.
Assist with audits and internal financial controls.
Provide mentoring and support to junior finance staff.
Essential Criteria: Qualified AAT, IATI, or part-qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA with 2+ years relevant experience, OR 5+ years experience in a similar financial role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high accuracy.
Experience preparing payroll and statutory submissions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
High IT competency with accounting software and Microsoft Office.
Desirable: Experience with multiple funding streams.
Knowledge of Sage Line 50.
Previous experience in the charity/nonprofit sector.
