Leadership Role
The Director of Nursing is a key position within our healthcare organization's leadership team. The role holder will demonstrate strong leadership and collaboration skills to engage with colleagues across the hospital in delivering safe, high-quality patient-centered services and outcomes.
The Director of Nursing will provide strategic, professional, and clinical leadership for all aspects of the nursing multidisciplinary team, embracing continuous quality improvement and change leadership necessary to achieve organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure the effective and efficient delivery of all nursing services, emphasizing quality care, positive patient experience, performance management, and productivity.
* Collaborate with quality teams to promote an ongoing quality agenda and compliance with accreditation standards.
* Work closely with the Leadership Team on business continuity and emergency plans.
* Develop and implement strategic plans for nursing services aligning with overall organizational goals.
* Deliver on recruitment and retention goals in line with the hospital's recruitment strategy.
* Oversee reporting and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
* Lead transformational change to deliver the hospital's strategy.
* Engage clinicians in the evolution and development of clinical services to provide best patient outcomes.
Leadership Expectations:
* Provide leadership and direction to the nursing team, promoting a positive working environment and motivating staff to achieve organizational goals.
* Collaborate with executive colleagues on succession planning and talent management strategies.
* Promote an environment conducive to best practice, staff retention, and open communication.
* Ensure service delivery models meet international best practices and are commercially viable.
* Promote accountability, responsibility, and authority among staff.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Be registered in the general division of the register of Nurses maintained by NMBI.
* Educated to Master's Level in Healthcare/Business or related qualification desirable.
* Have at least five years' experience working in a senior management position in a similar environment.
* Extensive experience leading successful change in patient-centered care delivery environments.
* Delivering high levels of productivity and efficiency.
* Understanding of financial management and control.
* Extensive knowledge of organizational management and development.
* Track record of positive team engagement.
