Job Title: Human Resources Generalist Department: Human Resources Reports To: Human Resources Manager Location: Nenagh/Tipperary Town Status: Full-Time Position Summary The Human Resources Generalist provides comprehensive HR support to different locations within the company, ensuring and alignment with organizational goals and compliance with employment legislation. This position plays a critical role in implementing HR initiatives related to recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, and organizational development. The HR Generalist will serve as a trusted business partner, contributing to a positive and productive workplace culture that reflects the company's mission and values. Key Responsibilities Recruitment and Onboarding Manage full-cycle recruitment for company positions across operational, retail and administrative functions. Prepare and post job advertisements, screen applicants, schedule interviews, and assist with candidate selection. Conduct new hire orientations and ensure timely completion of all onboarding documentation. Maintain accurate and employment records Employee Relations Provide guidance and support to employees and supervisors on HR policies, performance concerns, and workplace issues. Assist with conflict resolution, investigations, and processing of disciplinary actions. Promote a culture of respect, fairness, and collaboration consistent with company values. Liaise with shop stewards to resolve issues. Performance Management and Training Support the performance appraisal process, ensuring timely completion and appropriate documentation. Identify and coordinate employee training and development opportunities, including safety and leadership training. Partner with managers to support coaching and performance improvement initiatives. Compensation and Benefits Administration Administer employee remuneration. Assist employees with benefit inquiries. Support payroll operations by ensuring accurate employee data and remuneration changes. Compliance and Reporting Ensure compliance with employment legislation Maintain confidentiality and security of employee records and HR data. Assist with HR reporting, audits, and compliance documentation as required. Employee Engagement and Company Culture Support initiatives that enhance employee morale, engagement, and retention. Assist in coordinating cooperative events, recognition programs, and engagement activities Model and promote the cooperative's core values of integrity, teamwork, and agricultural excellence. Qualifications and competencies Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or a related field required. 2-5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in manufacturing, or food production environments. Union experience is desirable Strong understanding of employment law, HR practices, and HRIS systems. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Inter-site travel.
