Job Type Contract - Fixed Term Category Primary Care Location Carrickmines, Carrickmines, Dublin City, County Dublin, Ireland Job Details Role Title - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract / Part Time ( 2 days per week ) GP/Primary Care Physician with Special Interest in Women's Health.
Role Purpose As a primary care physician in Womens health you will provide high quality evidence based care to women at different life stages, focusing on (but not exclusively) menopause, family planning, and menstrual disorders.
You will work with a multidisciplinary team of health professionals including a clinical lead with a background in primary care, GPs, nurses, midwives and range of AHSCPs in the delivery of effective high quality and evidence based care.
Your primary base will be the Vhi 360 Clinic in Carrickmines with a requirement to be flexible to work between Vhi locations if required.
There will be opportunity for the successful post holder to work within the core primary care service if desired.
Key Responsibilities Assess and manage patients with complex women's health symptoms in the community, liaising where appropriate with other medical specialties Provide holistic, multidisciplinary approach to the care of Vhi customers seeking support to address women's health needs, optimize health and well-being and/or address chronic disease needs Engage with other consultant and primary care colleagues within the Vhi network and 360 Centre Support an integrated care approach across Vhi H&W and related service including for example: primary care, urgent care and hospital at home services Promote and develop disease prevention measures Champion clinical excellence and patient-centric healthcare engaging voice of customer and capturing patient reported outcomes To identify education requirements and opportunities and provide education to staff Review and interpret results and ensure critical results are escalated appropriately Complete medical reports for patients based on agreed protocols Communicate to patients, provide relevant lifestyle advice and ensure patient understanding of their results Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives Work as part of a team to ensure patients receive excellent clinical and customer-focused experience Participate in clinical meetings and stay up-to-date with latest evidence based clinical practice and guidelines Provide advice to other clinical colleagues when or as required as set out in SOPs.
Maintain ongoing Continuing Medical Education Undertake any other clinical duties as may arise from time to time within the Vhi 360 clinics Participate in and support any accreditation programme through compliance with SOPs and clinical best practice, as laid out in the relevant standards The above is not intended to be a comprehensive list of all duties involved and consequently, the post holder may be required to perform other duties as appropriate to the post, which may be assigned to them from time to time and to contribute to the development of the post while in office.
