Job Title: Person In Charge
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Person In Charge. This rewarding role will involve working closely with service users who have intellectual disabilities in County Limerick.
About the Job:
* Ensure that the needs of service users are being met through effective care planning and implementation
* Teach service users necessary daily living and social skills through engaging activities
* Establish and maintain positive relationships with service users, promoting independence and confidence
* Contribute to a dynamic team environment, providing support and guidance to colleagues as needed
* Maintain accurate records of service user documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Applied Social Studies or a related field, be eligible for CORU registration, and have a minimum of 3 years' experience working with adults/children with intellectual disabilities. Proven managerial skills and a full manual driving license are also essential.
Responsibilities include:
1. Supervising service users and staff in a residential setting, promoting a safe and supportive environment
2. Managing challenging behaviours in a sensitive and constructive manner
3. Effectively managing residential budgets to ensure efficient resource allocation

Requirements:
* Degree in Applied Social Studies or relevant qualification
* Eligible for CORU registration or CORU Registered

* Full manual driving license
