Regional Manager – Cork
Location: Fermoy, County Cork, Ireland
Responsibilities
Have a working knowledge of regulatory requirements for Disability Services.
Provide support and guidance for the development of new services.
Participate as a member of the local Management Team, as appropriate.
Support operational managers in service delivery and governance, ensuring safety and quality of service.
Assist operational managers in applying quality, safety and risk management systems.
Contribute to the development and implementation of Service Plans.
Ensure accountability for the delivery of all services within the assigned area, aligned with Talbot Group standards, policies and resources.
Ensure delivery of key targets by establishing a strong control system.
Manage the performance of operational managers.
Accountable for the budget, ensuring services operate within prescribed parameters and demonstrate value for money.
Oversee compliance with FOI Acts 1997, 2003 & 2014.
Ensure compliance with Data Protection Acts 1988 & 2003.
Monitor ongoing expenditure with the Financial Controller.
Ensure adherence to controls and maintain appropriate records.
Approve and authorise purchase and payment of goods.
Participate in performance monitoring, control and evaluation arrangements, accountable at the local level.
Work with operational managers to develop early warning systems and corrective action plans.
Ensure implementation of all company policies, procedures and standards.
Develop effective, collaborative team working relationships.
Demonstrate proactive commitment to communication.
Assist operational managers in providing leadership and communication with stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with company financial controls.
Liaise with HR on issues of concern.
Manage absenteeism and time‑keeping.
Engage with Recruitment Manager for staff recruitment and interview.
Support sustainable energy, water and waste initiatives for a low‑carbon, efficient service.
Qualifications
Significant operational experience managing or delivering a complex service within health or social care.
Experience managing and working collaboratively with others.
Experience in team management and development.
High standard of suitability and management ability.
Access to appropriate transport to fulfil role requirements.
Professional knowledge and experience.
Critical analysis and decision making skills.
