SimoTech is seeking a DeltaV AutomationEngineer to provide on-site plant support for a leading multinational client inthe biotechnology/pharmaceutical sector.
This position is centred on day-to-dayoperational support, troubleshooting and continuous improvement of DeltaVsystems in a live manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will havehands-on experience supporting production systems, ensuring the reliability,compliance, and performance of automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Provide real-time support for DeltaV controlsystems during manufacturing operations.
Troubleshoot and resolve automation issuesimpacting production, ensuring minimal downtime.
Perform system health checks, monitoring, andpreventive maintenance on DeltaV systems.
Implement minor modifications and enhancementsto control strategies, Phases, and recipes to optimise plant performance.
Collaborate with Operations, ProcessEngineering, QA and IT teams to maintain compliance with GMP and regulatorystandards.
Support change control processes, includingdocumentation and validation for system updates.
Assist with root cause analysis forautomation-related deviations and implement corrective actions.
Participate in continuous improvementinitiatives, leveraging Six Sigma or similar methodologies.
Maintain accurate records of system changes,incidents, and resolutions in accordance with site procedures.
Provide input for automation standards and bestpractices for plant operations.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, InformationSystems, Computer Science or Life Sciences.
Minimum of 5+ years DeltaV Batch automationexperience, with at least 3+ years in a plant support or operations environment.
Minimum of 2 years on-site life scienceindustry experience.
Good understanding of GAMP.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the abilityto anticipate, evaluate, and resolve complex project challenges.
Ability to work independently and on owninitiative.
Ability to interact and communicate with otherengineering and business disciplines.
