About the Role
Fortis Recruitment is partnering with a leading national insurance broker to hire an experienced
Commercial Account Manager
. You'll manage a large portfolio of commercial clients, act as a trusted advisor, and play a central role in retention and growth.
What You'll Be Doing
* Manage a portfolio of commercial clients, providing clear, expert guidance and tailored insurance solutions.
* Carry out risk reviews and client consultations to shape bespoke programmes aligned to business needs.
* Lead renewals, MTAs, and new placements with accuracy and professionalism.
* Build strong relationships with underwriters, negotiating competitive terms and advising clients on complex proposals.
* Support clients through complex claims, ensuring smooth, fair and timely resolution.
* Stay on top of regulatory requirements and maintain high compliance standards.
What You'll Bring
* Solid experience as a Commercial Account Handler, confident in managing more complex portfolios.
* Strong technical knowledge across commercial lines and current market/underwriting trends.
* CIP at a minimum - MDI ACII preferred
* Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
