Catering Officer Grade 1 Jobs Dublin 1 | Catering Management Role
3Q Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Catering Officer Grade 1 to lead catering operations within a large healthcare facility in Dublin 1. This is a senior healthcare catering management role, responsible for the full delivery of food services in a regulated environment where nutrition, hygiene and service quality directly support patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all healthcare catering operations, including food preparation, service and hygiene
- Supervise, train and support catering staff to ensure consistent service quality
- Plan menus in collaboration with healthcare and dietetic teams, ensuring nutritional and clinical compliance
- Manage catering budgets, control costs and liaise with suppliers
- Ensure full compliance with HACCP, food safety and hygiene regulations
- Conduct quality checks, audits and record keeping to meet inspection and governance requirements
- Work collaboratively with nursing and support services to support patient care delivery
- Maintain accurate operational, staffing and financial records
Requirements
- Recognised qualification in Hotel, Catering, Institutional Management or Dietetics (Degree, Diploma or Certificate)
- Minimum 3 years' experience managing catering operations in a healthcare or institutional setting serving 200+ people daily (or)
- Minimum 5 years' experience assisting in large-scale institutional catering operations
- Proven staff supervision and people management experience
- Strong working knowledge of HACCP and food safety systems
- Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills
- Legal right to work in Ireland and ability to complete Garda Vetting
