Sous Chef – Kildare – €42,000 to €45,000 DOEExcel Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Sous Chef for one of our fantastic clients in the Kildare area.
This is a brilliant opportunity for a talented chef to join a busy kitchen, support the Head Chef, and take the next step in their culinary career.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, food preparation, and service
Lead and supervise the kitchen team in the Head Chef's absence
Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standard and presentation
Maintain full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP regulations
Help with menu planning, stock control, ordering, and cost management
Train and develop junior kitchen staff
Candidate Requirements:
Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a busy kitchen
Culinary qualification or relevant professional training
Strong leadership and communication skills
Excellent organisation and time management abilities
A passion for high-quality food and attention to detail
Full understanding of food safety and HACCP standards
