About Us:We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Person to join our team at our friendly country pub and restaurant 15 minutes outside of Ennis in Co. Clare .The specific venue details will be shared with shortlisted applicants, but this is an exciting opportunity within an established and successful group.Job DescriptionCustomer Service & Sales:· Preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails and beer. Making recommendations when possible· Processing cash and card transactions, giving change, and balancing cash receipts.· Creating a welcoming atmosphere, interacting with customers, and addressing any concerns or requests· Ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment, addressing excessive drinking, and helping arrange transportation if neededBar Operations & Maintenance:· Set up venue, bar, tills, coffee machine, glasswasher, bins, tables, menus, water jugs etc· Maintaining any stocking supply of drinks, ice, glassware, bottles, kegs and other bar necessities· Keeping the bar area, equipment, and glasses clean and tidy, adhering to hygiene and safety standards· Slicing fruits and preparing other garnishes for drinks· Keeping track of stock levels and assisting with placing orders for supplies· Keep bar area, clean and tidy throughout the day· Ensure all tabs are closed out· Lock up in accordance to our checklistAdditional Duties:· Collaborating with other bar staff, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service· Adhering to health and safety guidelines and alcohol service regulations· Follow daily and weekly checklist· Assist on the floor when needed· Report for duty as scheduled, on time, wearing the designated uniform, and maintaining a professional look at all times· Before leaving duty, make sure that every location is ready for the upcoming service period· Other adhoc dutiesJob Types: Part-time, Permanent, Fixed termPay: €14.00-€16.00 per hourExpected hours: 20 per weekBenefits:FlexitimeFood allowanceOn-site parkingApplication question(s):Do you drive?Language:English (required)Work Location: In person
