Childcare Area Manager Required Bridgestock Childcare Ltd is seeking an experienced full-time Childcare Area Manager who will be the designated person responsible for overseeing our childcare services (new and existing) at our highly successful and award winning Cre8ive Corner Creche facilities located at Brooklawns and Farmhill Manor in Sligo. The successful person will be required to work in collaboration with our two Creche Managers and their teams to provide a safe, high-quality childcare and education service to the children in our care and will have overall responsibility for ensuring the success of our childcare business. This is a Senior Management position and the successful candidate will work with senior team colleagues in consolidating and growing our Cre8ive Corner Creche brand and childcare business. The key areas of responsibilities will include: Maintain the ongoing successful management of the early years service at our new and existing creches, delivering an inclusive, high-quality care and education service for the children and their families in accordance with the early years framework and curriculum Work with the childcare team to ensure that all activities are child centred and responsive to the needs of the children, promoting their learning and development, health and wellbeing Ensure that an effective communication system and rapport is maintained with parents/guardians/stakeholders and that any complaints/queries/problems are dealt with efficiently and effectively Work collaboratively with the creche management team around planning events such as parent information days, family/social events, promotion/marketing of the creche, fundraising etc Liaise with external agencies such as Tusla, the Childcare Committee, all other child and family organisations and services. Manage and support the childcare team in maintaining high standards and provide inspired direction and leadership to ensure that all staff develop in their roles Ensure a Continuous Improvement culture in terms of staff development, best practice and compliance, strategies which benefit and promote our childcare service and the business Work with our finance team to ensure that the service operates at full capacity with maximisation of revenues and minimisation of costs Work with the creche management team to ensure that the various government funding schemes, parental fees and non/late payments, PIP system are managed etc. Manage staffing levels/rotas/annual leave/budgets/accounts in conjunction with our Finance Team and ensure that all creches operate profitably and within budget Work collaboratively with senior team colleagues in consolidating and growing our childcare business Ensure compliance with all childcare related regulations and that best practice is followed and continuously developed in line with current legislation. Ensure all administration work is completed to the highest standard and in accordance with the appropriate guidelines ie child observations and report writing, staff files, registration process and admissions, rotas and timesheets etc. Ensure self and the team are prepared for and compliant with all Tusla, Child & Family Agency, Pobal etc inspections. Ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of all children, staff, service users etc and that the highest standards of cleanliness, health & safety, food hygiene/HACCP are maintained. Ensure the buildings and equipment are kept in excellent condition and that regular fire drills, staff training, record keeping, risks assessments and internal audits are completed All other ad hoc responsibilities as reasonably requested by the company Qualifications & Competencies A recognised Early Years qualification (QQI Level 7 desirable) A minimum of three years managerial experience in a childcare facility, responsible for all duties as above including managing a large team of people Full knowledge of all childcare policies and regulations relating to the sector and experience working with Aistear, Siolta, National Curriculum programmes. Strong IT and literacy skills, fully competent working with Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, various government funding schemes, online portals etc Good business acumen Passionate about early years education and childcare Excellent interpersonal and communication skills High level of motivation, personal maturity and flexibility required Own car and full clean driving licence To Apply If you would like to work with a leading National QMark (Quality Management Systems) Care Services provider with growing business and career opportunities in Ireland, please apply with your full CV by clicking in the apply button below.
