Shape the Future with AECOM – Associate Director, Mechanical Engineer
Location: Dublin, Galway, or Cork
At AECOM, we believe infrastructure has the power to uplift communities and improve lives. We're looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer at Associate Director level to join our growing team in Ireland. Based in one of our Dublin, Galway, or Cork offices, you’ll lead mechanical engineering on some of Ireland’s most impactful projects – from conception to delivery.
Your Role:
As the Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will:
* Lead and manage the mechanical engineering team across Ireland.
* Deliver both stand-alone and multi-disciplinary projects with excellence.
* Mentor and support engineers and technicians to grow their careers and capabilities.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying new opportunities and nurturing existing ones.
* Act as Project Manager on mechanical-led or multi-disciplinary projects.
* Drive innovation, solving complex engineering challenges with creativity and expertise.

What You’ll Bring:
* Degree Qualified – MEng or BEng in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
* Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.
* Proven Experience – Strong track record delivering mechanical engineering projects in a consultancy or similar environment.
* Sector Expertise – Experience across key sectors including healthcare, as well as leisure, commercial, and higher education .
