A design-led practice in Wexford is seeking a skilled Architectural Technologist to support the delivery of high-quality residential and small-scale commercial developments. The successful candidate will play a key role in technical design, documentation, and client coordination, working closely with senior architects and consultants.
You’ll join a team known for its personal approach to design and technical precision, with a strong pipeline of new projects across the South East.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce detailed technical drawings, specifications, and tender documentation using AutoCAD (Revit experience an advantage)
* Prepare 2D and 3D presentation material for planning and client review
* Assist in preparing and submitting planning applications and compliance documentation
* Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and local authorities to ensure project delivery
* Carry out site visits and inspections as required
* Resolve design and technical issues efficiently during all project stages
* Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with Irish Building Regulations
* Stay up to date with emerging design tools, sustainability standards, and industry trends
Requirements
* Degree in Architectural Technology or equivalent
* 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within residential design
* Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit or BIM experience a strong bonus)
* Excellent technical detailing and construction knowledge
* Strong understanding of Irish Building Regulations and planning processes
* Good organisational and communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines independently
* Experience working directly with clients and contractors on residential schemes
* Familiarity with sustainable design principles
