While parts sales represent only one element of our overall business, the effective management of parts and products within our in-house systems is pivotal to the smooth running of our sales processes, including quoting, ordering, and invoicing.
This vacancy presents a genuine opportunity for the right candidate to join our company and put their own stamp on our parts and inventory systems. The role offers variety and interaction, working closely with our engineering crews, customers, and suppliers.
The Role
The successful candidate will work closely with our Accounts Manager in support of the Engineering and Sales teams. Key responsibilities include:
* Liaising closely with the Accounts Manager to support Engineering and Sales operations
* Advising management and teams on best-practice procedures, drawing on prior experience in parts and inventory management
* Continuing the development, implementation, and management of stock control SOPs
* Working closely with engineering crews to resolve parts, stock, and process-related issues
* Undertaking related general administration duties across service management, customer support, and supplier management
Essential Requirements
* A third-level qualification in a business or technical field, ideally related to Supply Chain or Inventory Management
* A minimum of two years' experience in an inventory-related role
* High level of digital competence, ideally gained in an ERP or similar systems environment (Serchek uses Odoo ERP)
* Proven attention to detail and accuracy, including experience with financial valuations
This role would ideally suit an inventory or supply chain professional with strong core competencies who is seeking to deepen their industry experience within an SME environment.
It may also appeal to candidates currently commuting longer distances who are seeking to relocate to a Midlands-based role.
