Our Story
Our client's technology centre in Kerry supports a global organisation through the delivery of high-quality software solutions and critical business applications. Our cross-functional teams focus on modernising systems, driving digital transformation, and enabling innovative technology capabilities across the organisation.
We are now seeking a Senior Software Engineer to act as a technical leader within an Agile development team. This role will be central in designing and delivering modern .NET-based solutions across a key business portfolio. Working closely with technical leads and architects, you will influence solution design, evaluate emerging technologies, and provide hands-on expertise with strategic impact.
As a senior member of the team, you will also support junior engineers through mentorship, help improve engineering practices, and contribute to a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
The Role
1. Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of .NET (C#) solutions aligned with business goals.
2. Ensure high levels of application performance, quality, security, and scalability.
3. Guide the team in keeping technical documentation up to date and in maintaining strong coding standards.
4. Analyze and troubleshoot complex system issues and support the resolution of technical escalations.
5. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical knowledge-sharing within the team.
6. Participate in code reviews, automated/manual testing, and CI/CD processes.
7. Collaborate with business analysts, QA, DevOps, and cross-functional partners to translate business needs into technically deliverable user stories.
8. Work with DevOps and infrastructure teams to enable smooth deployment pipelines, monitoring, and system upgrades.
9. Evaluate new tools, frameworks, and cloud technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
What You Offer
10. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
11. 6+ years of software development experience, preferably within Agile teams.
12. Strong expertise in .NET C#, including experience with modern frameworks and application architectures.
13. Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling.
14. Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.
15. Passion for building high-quality, user-centric software.
Preferred Qualifications
16. Exposure to API integration, cloud platforms (., AWS), Terraform, or middleware technologies.
17. Experience working within complex or regulated environments.
