Cost Accountant Role Overview
This position plays a pivotal role in the success of our operations, focusing on driving continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives. As a Cost Accountant, you will partner with key stakeholders to optimize business processes and ensure accurate financial analysis.

Responsibilities:
* Work closely with senior leadership to provide operational support and drive decision-making through robust financial analysis.
* Analyze and report on plant manufacturing performance and efficiency.
* Develop and implement a detailed Line and Product Efficiency Model.
* Provide weekly and monthly GM reports and suggestions for improvements.
Key Requirements:
* 3+ years of experience as a Financial Planning and Accounting or Manufacturing Cost Accountant in a manufacturing environment.
* Strong financial analysis skills, including experience with variance analysis, forecasting, and financial modeling.
* Fluent written and spoken English.
* Very strong Excel skills, v-lookup, pivot tables, advanced charting, simulations, and databases.
* Third-level degree qualification in Accounting & Finance or Food Science.
Job Description:
This role involves a mix of desk work and floor time, where you will capture data, liaise with production teams, and identify areas of cost in products and processes. Your time will be split between calculating, reporting, analyzing, and disseminating information on costings for products and processes. You will also work closely with the Managing Director and Factory Manager to identify continuous improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
