About the Role
As Executive Accommodation Manager, you will take the lead in establishing and overseeing the full accommodation operation at The Hawthorn by Galway Bay setting the benchmark for service, presentation, and discretion in all guest-facing and back-of-house spaces.
With a focus on quiet luxury and intuitive service, you will guide your team with poise and professionalism, ensuring every room and public space meets the highest standards of refinement, cleanliness, and brand alignment. This senior pre-opening role is integral to shaping departmental culture, operational precision, and the overall tone of the guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the recruitment, training, and development of a dedicated housekeeping team ahead of launch.
* Develop, implement, and maintain detailed SOPs for room readiness, public area presentation, and linen services.
* Oversee daily inspections and quality audits to uphold 5-star standards across all guest and back-of-house areas.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with Rooms Division, Maintenance, Spa, and Events to ensure seamless coordination and guest satisfaction.
* Maintain strict adherence to health and safety legislation, fire procedures, and hygiene protocols.
* Manage departmental payroll, budgeting, and inventory controls with accuracy and foresight.
* Monitor guest feedback channels and proactively enhance service delivery based on insights.
* Champion sustainability practices within the department, including responsible product sourcing and efficient linen use.
Ideal Profile
* 5+ years' experience in a senior accommodation or housekeeping leadership role within a 4 or 5-star hotel.
* Proven track record of managing large teams with a calm, supportive, and quality-focused approach.
* Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
* Experience in pre-opening environments highly desirable.
* High standards, attention to detail, and pride in room presentation.
