About the Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist to join our team. The successful candidate will work as a member of an interdisciplinary team, providing supports to children and young persons aged 0-18 years and their families within Children's Disability Network Team (CDNT).
Key Responsibilities:
The post holder will be responsible for the provision of psychology services to children and families attending services on the CDNT, including assessment and intervention, clinical supervision, and ongoing service delivery to children with a range of disabilities. This role will require working across various settings, including clinics, schools, preschools, special schools, children's homes, and community settings.
Essential Criteria:
To be eligible for this role, applicants must:
• Have a university degree or diploma in Psychology
• Possess an Irish post-graduate professional psychology qualification accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland in Clinical, Counselling, or Educational Psychology
• Demonstrate competence in the Care Group/s applied for
• Applicants with a clinical or counselling psychology qualification must demonstrate at least 60 days or equivalent supervised clinical placements as part of the professional qualification; or at least 60 days or equivalent post-qualification supervised work experience as a psychologist
Desirable Criteria:
Experience of working with children with disabilities, particularly those with physical, sensory, intellectual, and autism spectrum disorders. Post-qualification experience working as a Staff Grade Psychologist in a community setting is highly desirable.
