Role Purpose & Scope
As an NEC4 Assistant Project Manager, you will play a key role in delivering major strategic water and wastewater projects in Dublin, introducing and administering the NEC contract framework within the Irish Water Sector. Acting on behalf of the client, you will manage contract administration under NEC4 ECC, issue instructions and notifications, and foster collaboration among stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution. You will work within a multidisciplinary team of 5–10 professionals and engage with key stakeholders such as local authorities, utility owners, statutory bodies, and community representatives to deliver critical underground infrastructure that enhances service resilience and minimises disruption across Dublin.
Your Impact in this Position
In this position, you will directly influence the successful delivery of critical underground infrastructure that strengthens Dublin’s water and wastewater networks, reducing disruption and improving long-term service resilience. By applying precise NEC contract management, you will safeguard client interests, minimise disputes, and optimise cost recovery. Your leadership will ensure safe, efficient execution of complex tunnelling and pipeline works in challenging urban environments, while fostering collaboration among stakeholders to secure permissions, manage traffic impacts, and maintain positive community relations. Through innovative solutions and proactive risk management, you will help drive programme certainty, reduce costs, and set new standards for excellence in the Irish Water Sector.
