TECHNICAL ARCHITECT DUBLIN (LEOPARSDTOWN) HYBRID 6 MONTH CONTRACT Role Description The successful candidate will work as part of a global team delivering high profile initiatives across Digital Channels. Digital Channels sits within the Global Banking & Markets Technology organization and Global Transaction Services which provide liquidity management, payments and receipts, trade and supply chain finance, foreign exchange and commercial card services to small businesses, middle market companies, and to multinational corporations, financial institutions and governments around the world. The successful candidate will drive various projects. They will participate in all stages of the project lifecycle, from application design to development, particularly during the execution phase. They will work closely with team members and Business partners throughout the project lifecycle. We believe that the best Technologists enjoy what they do. Candidates should first and foremost be passionate, and be willing to learn the technologies they may not have been exposed to in the past. The Team Digital Channels sits within the Global Markets organization and Global Transaction Services which provide liquidity management, payments and receipts, trade and supply chain finance, foreign exchange and commercial card services to small businesses, middle market companies, and to multinational corporations, financial institutions and governments around the world. The global Digital Channels team deliver high profile Financial Technology initiatives such as the Global Markets and Banking API initiative, the ever changing world of payments and the power to transact anywhere with CashPro Mobile. Skillset Need an experienced versatile individual with good tech understanding, knowledge of cyber, experience writing code. Java programming Someone who can navigate working in a large organisation. Technical background is key. Core Java is essential, Oracle Database Experience with containers, messaging, MongoDB, API Development Need to think about how applications interact. Hands on role, need someone who can move things forward. Liaising with senior stakeholders Core skills - Required and Preferred Java development experience in-depth knowledge of core Java, JEE, including Spring. Experience of Containers and/or microservices (Preferred) Self-starting with the ability to drive the delivery of projects from inception to completion. Previous experience of Agile. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Experience with Agile project methodologies Experience in using software configuration management systems (e.g. BitBucket).
