Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Head of Digital Construction and Innovation to lead our transformation toward smarter, data-driven, and technology-enabled construction practices.
This role will be pivotal in driving innovation, implementing digital tools, and improving construction efficiency, sustainability, and quality through emerging technologies.
Key Functions & Results Areas
Strategic Leadership
Develop and implement a long-term digital construction strategy aligned with business goals.
Lead the organization's innovation agenda across digital construction, BIM, AI, IoT, robotics, and other construction technologies.
Technology Implementation & Oversight Oversee deployment and integration of digital tools such as Building Information Modelling (BIM), Common Data Environments (CDE), Digital Twins, AR/VR, drones, and mobile field solutions.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure digital platforms are effectively integrated into core workflows.
Innovation Management Identify, evaluate, and pilot emerging technologies that could enhance project delivery, cost control, safety, and quality.
Build partnerships with startups, academic institutions, and tech providers to stay ahead of industry innovation.
Champion MMC (modular and pre-fabrication) within the organisation and actively look to incorporate into projects where possible.
Team & Change Management Lead, inspire, and develop a cross-functional digital and innovation team.
Champion cultural change toward digital adoption and innovation across all levels of the organization.
Data & Insights Promote data-driven decision-making across construction activities.
Develop KPIs and dashboards to measure the performance and ROI of digital initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement Act as the primary liaison between the technology, operations, Pre-construction, Present digital design, and executive teams.
Construction strategy and progress updates to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
Person Specification
7 years minimum industry experience in a related role.
M.Sc.
or B.Sc.
in Digital Construction.
Additional qualifications in Digital Transformation, Innovation Management, or related
certifications (e.g.
PMP, Lean Six Sigma, BIM Certification) are a plus.
Deep understanding of construction processes and digital tools.
Strong leadership and team-building skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Visionary thinking with the ability to translate innovation into business value.
